Karimganj Municipal Board was established in the year 1913. The First Chairman of the ULB was Paresh Chandra Das. THe Karimganj Town area shares the its boundaries with the International bordering areas of Bangladesh. Karimganj Town will connected by roadTransportation and Rails. Kushiara and Longai rivers are prominent that flow through the heart of the town. The population of Karimganj town as per 2011 Census was 56,854.
